An unplanned day of occurred as Tom finished a job and took the boys off to the park. And thus I sat in my garden studio for a blissful six hours and flat-planned the hellebores out of the plant world for my new book. So far so good on the plant directory section, which is pretty straightforward now I’ve got my final list. Looking forward to mixing up the houseplants and balcony/terrace plants for an indoor/outdoor vibe.
The kitchen has also now had a lick of undercoat on walls and cupboards so it’s goodbye blue/green (a colour I loved in 2010 when we first did the kitchen but can’t wait to get rid of now) and hello 50 shades of grey and white. Also made a last minute decision to lose the old off the shelf metro tiles and replace them with some bespoke handmade ones for a more rustic touch to break up the uniformity.
Looking forward for this space to be done so that I can fill it with herbs, houseplants and vases of aromatic flowers, including a new round of window boxes front and back now our bay and sink window both open. So nearly there!
